Fire Tone-Outs

Anyone know how long until the fire tone codes go away completely? Are all the fire departments using them planning to do this? I know Riverside Fire did away with them this time last year.

I have no idea but my best guess would be spring. I would not be surprised if it would be later knowing how government works  . I have not officially or unofficially heard how it will ultimately work but I can't see any reason for them to keep the system unless it is for back up. I am just going off little bits and pieces of info and assumptions.

It also could happen sooner.
