Hello,

I am using the PRO-2055 scanner at work. I would like to program a bank relating to the city I am working in, so here is my question.


If you program your EDACS frquencies + Talkgroups in properly, Then later deside to add standard frequencies that us a DC or CT tone code (that are not trunked), will the scanner bypass the normal frequencies and just scan the trunked frequencies if the system is closed?

The scanner will pick up both the talkgroups and frequencies. In Close Mode the radio only scans for talkgroups that you have programmed in. Putting the radio in "Open Mode" you will get ALL talkgroups (even ones you didn't program). For frequencies Close Mode only listens for activity on the PL/DPL you programmed, where open mode it will pick up everything.
