Banning Code Enforcement???

Post by Martin »

I live in Banning and know that Code Enforcement is very active in this area . I am unable to locate their freq and find no mention of them. Pretty sure they would be on radios.. Does anyone have info or a freq for them ?

I have never seen a Banning City code enforcement vehicle, I have seen a bunch which belong to Riverside County in Banning, in fact I think they have some kinda HQ around there. They are on the RSO EDACS system, with these talk groups.

Yeah I have seen them once in a while near downtown and I have heard them but Banning has their own Code Enforcement. They drive pick up trucks and I have scene them talking on a radio. They are listed in the phone book and I have dealt with them before over parking a semi in a residential area. They even chase people down who leave their garage sale signs up and cite people for not getting permits.

Try looking at cityfreq.com, they have some freqs not listed elsewhere, I think it is the actual FCC license list, maybe one of them will be useful. I'm too far away to check any of them. I haven't found any for utilities or such for City of Banning, which seems odd. If you see one, just ask them, that works sometimes. If you see one eating lunch or something, it can't hurt. Good luck! I know some people love the hunt as much if not more than the actual monitoring...I'm not that kind, though, at least not anymore. I want answers, dammit! =)

I was really bored, so here is what I found as licensed to the City of Banning, try these: 153.965, 158.745, 47.9 Good luck! Say, is Banning PD part of the ERICA thing now, like Beaumont?

I actually think Banning Police talks on 158.745. They are not on ERICA-at least not to my knowledge-although they should be...

You must have a great antenna. Riverside is pretty far out from Banning in order to receive it.

I haven't tried lately, but if they are still using that freq, I used to get it with just the duck on my HH scanner in downtown Riverside, it is pretty strong signal.

They transmit from a site that puts a good signal into the Riverside area. The site is not in Banning proper.
