Riverside police

Post by tk353 »

As of 11:21 AM RPD did a EOW of Orange Street dispatch on F1. They are using F5 for primary and F4 for wants and warrants plus car to car. They are moving all transmission to the Magnolia street station. F 1 - F3 Will be down and of course F7 is scrambled. Not sure on the Fire what channels they are using during this transaction.

If they are doing all this upgrading, I guess that's a good sign they told the county board of stupidvisors to pound sand with PSEC.

Must have been temporary, as dispatch and 28/29's are back on Ch 1 & 2 as of 1830.

I'm hearing EDACS sounds on RPD Ch 7....interference, or are they up to something? Come to think of it, I found some UHF freqs for RCCPD on RR that were new to me, I put them in, and one has EDACS control channels sounds. I wonder if RCC or somewhere else close has an EDACS system? I known their PD is not, though. Maybe for maintenance and parking lot people? Just thinking out loud....sorry, I do that a lot lately....dribble dribble....

On RPD-7 what you are hearing is P25 digital. On the RCC frequency you're hearing SCADA data, it's coming from a water company out of Running Springs that is 12.5 khz away from the RCC channel. There were no real upgrades to the LMR system during the dispatch center move, other than replacing the consoles with a new VOIP interface that was part of a system for access to the interop frequencies anyway. It is still unknown if the City will join PSEC or upgrade it's existing radio system for PD/Fire.
