Bulldozers

What's the role of dosers? I've heard about them, but never understood what they were for.

And, that's more of a wildlands fire piece of equipment. I don't think Riverside city fire has any =)

Not so weird. The dozers are trucked to the fire on flatbed trailers. One dozer operator can cut a hellofa lot more fire break a hellofa lot faster than a 20 man hand crew.

So the hand crew is the crew that battles with the equipment (like at a structure fire)?

Mostly fire rakes, shovels and chainsaws.
