I'm hearing this from the Riverside area. It appears to be a simulcast of L.A. County FD Blue 1 (470.5625).
I've heard this on more than one occasion. Does anyone know the purpose of this transmitter?

It's the command channel for the La Habra area. It's off Puente Hills so likely just a repeater.

I noticed that RR is calling this frequency U-13. I remember back in the early 1980s when they were still on VHF that they would call the current blue channels U-## (i.e. U-11). In the mid 80s they were referred to as blue ##. I am guessing they are still testing it and once testing is complete and it is ready for use, it will change to blue 13.

Maybe soon they won't be calling them Blue channels anymore.
