The PSR 197 can only do Phase 1,and even if it could do Phase 2, the new PSEC network is all encrypted. I believe even the iCalls are.
Unless they still use the calling frequencies (simplex) of the 800MHz band.

Unfortunately the Pro-197 will not. There is also no RSO i-call activity on the PSEC.

there is no RSO I-CALL or it is disabled on their radios?
do you know why this is?
Also, i was monitoring a while ago and i did hear some transmission from a I-CALL the ID numbers are:
i3300012
i3300016

Brandon told you everything you need to know. You could only monitor the simplex, 800MHz channels.

As far as I can tell, all the non-trunked, non-encrypted 800 mhz frequencies RSO used to have went away when PSEC went on line. I know the ones for the correctional facilities did. I'm assuming Sprint got all those, too.

I ditto what everybody else says for this. First you need a Phase 2 scanner to even pick up the PSEC. Then, even with that, there is no possible way to hear RSO as they are now a fully encrypted agency. It will work if you go to San Bernardino, San Diego, or LA Counties though. Sorrry.
