Blythe Police Channel 155.925

On RR I see that channel named "Blythe PD Mesa." Not sure what that's supposed to mean as I thought police forces utilize CLEMARS.

Last time I was there that frequency had the same traffic as 158.955. It also seemed to cover better into Arizona than the other.

What does CLEMARS have to do with this?

Your question makes no sense. What is it you're asking for? Sure, police forces CAN use CLEMARS, but that doesn't mean they HAVE to. The City of Blythe has it's own frequencies. 155.925 is one of them. The records are public information, so YOU can search for them. If you need a link and help, just ask. Better yet, Google "FCC ULS search" and click on the first link that comes up.

You won't find what, specifically, they use the frequency for. It comes back as an FB2, which is a mobile relay (repeater). So does 158.955. Traditionally, 158.955 has long been Blythe PD's main frequency, going back at least the 30 years that I've been aware of it.

You may just have to take a road trip to sniff out what's what.

BTW, the "Mesa" area of Blythe is an area of substantially higher terrain than the areas closer to the river. It's above the river flood plain by, maybe, a couple of hundred feet. Go there, and it will jump out at you as you drive by.

I just had this thing spinning in my head that it was a mutual aid frequency. That's all.
