LA County Fire Tones
LA County Fire Tones
Anybody have a list of fire tone-out codes used by LA County Fire? I remember on Blue 8 they use a rapid two-tone page.
Re: LA County Fire Tones
At the bottom of the page.

LACoFD fire stations don't have tones as their primary alerting system. They use a digital signal to set of the station alerting system. They do have back up tones if needed though.
EDIT:It looks like the link does not work. You will have to quote it, cut and paste it to your browser.

I'll see if I can fix the link: http://wiki.radioreference.com/index.ph ... ounty_Fire
Re: LA County Fire Tones
I always seemed to hear a rapid short-longer two-tone sequence. It could be that times have changed as Riverside Fire ditched the tone-out codes three years ago I believe.
Re: LA County Fire Tones
There are tones for for chief officers and other personnel as stated in the link above.
