I don't know what a "Bravo Channel" is, and I never heard of RSO having a marine channel, so I don't think you are remembering correctly.

There was never a dedicated FM aircraft frequency. The aircraft use a vhf AM frequency at the airport.

Yes I realize it's an AM frequency. RSO also has(had?) a frequency for Lake Elsinore lake patrol.

And what frequency would that have been on? There wasn't any infrastructure available for a dedicated lake patrol to talk to dispatch.

I still don't know what a Bravo Channel is. Any clues?

Thanks Brandon. I was aware of the freq and its use, but never heard it referred to as "bravo". I hear the aircrews just refer to whatever VHF air frequencies by number.

It is labelled as a Bravo Channel in the Radioeference database page for Riverside County.

I've never heard RSO air units or dispatch refer to it as "Bravo" channel, either. I have heard them refer to 123.45 mhz as "Bravo Sierra" for bullshitting channel, they use it to talk to other agencies' air units. Have heard RSO copters talking to "Omaha" which is U.S. Customs aircraft on "Bravo Sierra" also CLEMARS 154.920 mhz.

So if they sent a chopper to help the RPD, would they be using CLEMARS?

No. RSO air units have multi band radios capable of transmitting on local agencies' freqs, they can come up on any of RPD's freqs and talk to officers in the field direct. They can also talk to SBSO on their trunked systems, and CHP on low band VHF.
