Anyone know what system they use? Or frequencies? They did a big raid around where I live and I didnt hear anything on the normal RSO EDACS system. Just curious. Thanks!

I would expect most of the good stuff is done via Nextel or other non-scannable methods but you might try Ch 13, DEA (418-419 range) and the 800 MHz "I-TAC" channels. I have also logged narco stuff on the DOJ freqs listed at RadioReference.

Part 90.19(f)(5) of the FCC rules state that a police department can use any Part 90 frequency in a surveillance or raid without prior FCC authorization. Basically, this means they could pop up anywhere, anytime, and they do. I know for a fact that local law enforcement agencies are aware of this rule, and take advantage of it.
