Radios are not tied to specific apparatus. The Kenwoods are being phased out and replaced by the Bendix King.

Nice. May I ask how you talk to RSO when you have to work with them in an incident?

It has always been face to face or through dispatch. I don't see that changing unless there is a major emergency.

I am sure it is there for major emergencies but for day to day operations, I don't see it being used. If it is used, it would probably be used between fire chiefs and sheriffs command staff and not field personnel.
