I have been scanning the CB channels around here and, to my surprise, NOTHING. I find that hard to believe because I see quite a few CB antennas on mobile around here. I also see base station antennas. I hear more CB chatter in Orange County than around here. About the only thing I hear is some guys from Elsinore on Saturdays on a channel in the range of 13-19.
Am I missing something? Has anyone else heard any CB activity out here? Are the CBers around here on the Freeband portion? I never really understand where people hang out in the Freeband area. Does anyone know any hot Freeband frequencies in the area?

I don't scan CB very much but I have heard some activity as I live close to the freeway. Some truckers and a lot of Spanish.
It's also busy when the 27 MHz range is open for DX (as seen below) --- the monster signals on 27.025 can be heard pretty much each day. It's my understanding that they're running several thousand watts or more.
